Airflo Super Dri

Ridge Tactical Trout
More than a decade ago Airflo revolutionized the fly line industry by developing the technology to build lines from Pollyurethane instead of the PVC used by all the other manufacturers, and in the process created a series of fly lines that were infinitatly more durrable, stayed cleaner, floated better, and eliminted the excessive stretch that plagued conventonal PVC lines. Now, Airflo’s next quantim leap forward in fly line technology has arrived—Super Dri—which takes advantage of a wave of new nano-engineered hydorphobic materials that give us what amounts to a Super Teflon fly line that repells water and dirt so effectivly that they float higher and pick up from the waer is noticably easier (less friction) than any other fly line on the planet. And, these supple floaing lines are reinforced in the “haul zone” with a stiffer coating to bring increased csting ease and distance into the equasiln.

Super Dri Elite

The "go-to" trout line. With a modest front taper and standard head length, this line does it all—good for all aspects of trout fishing. Available in WF3F to WF6F in Sunrise Yellow with a Lichen Green “zone.”  $74.99

Super Dri Exceed

Designed for todays fast action fly rods. The ¼ line wt. heavier weight forward head has a condensed taper optimized for casting into the wind and generating higher line speeds. WF5 to WF7, color is Pumpkin with a Lichen Green zone section. $74.99

Cold Saltwater Sniper

cold saltwater sniperAirflo breaks with tradition to solve the most common problem facing saltwater fly fishers: casting as far as possible into the wind with large flies. The Sniper series of floating, fast-intermediate, and fast sinking line densities gives casters “easy distance” by concentrating the mass of the weight forward portion of the line into a 30’ head. Shorter heads sink well and are easier to roll cast to the surface prior to the next cast. The running line is made from a supple, no-tangle coating over a new low memory, low stretch braid core. This new running line core material allows for a solid hook set at long distance—without tangles. The three Sniper lines—floating fast Intermediate, and type-7 fast sinking—have different weights and tapers to optimize their performance, and should be ordered according to the number (8, 9, or 10) normally required for a given rod—Airflo does the rest. Together, these three lines will cover just about any saltwater situation, and are highly recommended for their exceptional performance and durability. The fast / intermediate sinking line has a sinking rate of 1 ½” per sec. and floating running line, and the D7 Sinking line has a sink rate of 7” per sec. with an intermediate running line. Length: 120’ $74.99

Depth Finder

Airflo Depth Finder

Depth Finder lines are integrated shooting-tapers, 30’ sinking heads welded to 80’ of small diameter floating running line for maximum casting distance. Fresh or saltwater, these lines are designed to go d..eee..p. Each Depth Finder incorporates the highest density tungsten coatings possible for maximum sink rate, density compensated for uniform rate of descent over the entire sinking head, allowing the fly to go deeper, with a more direct, slack free, connection for superior hook-setting. Depth Finders are manufactured from Polyurethane—a thermoplastic polymer—ensuring incredible durability and a high resistance to cracking, a particularly attractive asset in rough, abrasive, saltwater environments. And, the Polyurethane coatings give the Depth Finder an unequaled suppleness—virtually no coiling, which greatly aids casting distance, and deters exasperating tangles. Length: 110’ (30’ head, 80’ running line). Sizes: 200, 300, and 400 grains with floating running lines. Color: all Depth Finder models have their own running line color for easy definition--200 fl. pink, 300 fl. Green, 400 fl. orange. $74.99

Airflo Sixth Sense - Sinking

Airflo Sixth Sense - SinkingThe Sixth Sense is the ideal line for fishing deep on lakes and any size river for trout, steelhead and salmon. As with all other Airflo lines, the Sixth Sense sinking lines are made from Polyurethane using Airflo’s patented PolyFuse technology, which enables the full length of these lines to be “density compensated for a level sink rate, allowing a fly to stay in the “zone” longer than other lines, and evidence unequaled durability. The low memory, low stretch core of these lines transfers more energy to the line during a cast, and provides a more direct feel to what’s happening on the far end of the line. These are the fastest sinking Trout lines available, and fishing them requires a lot less counting. Note: Sixth Sense lines conform to AFFTA standards. So the #5/6 Sixth Sense line is equal to a #5 standard line in weight. Length: 105’, Sizes (sink rate): 5/6 D5 (5” per sec.), 6/7 D7 (7 “ per sec.), 7/8 D7 (7” per sec.) $64.99
